"Wang Jigang serves as vice president and research fellow of the China Executive Leadership Academy Yan'an, concurrently holding the position of vice president of the Mao Zedong Thought and Life Research Branch under the China Institute of CPC Literature Research.

He is engaged in teaching and research on the history and development of the Communist Party of China, as well as in the education and training of officials. He has authored seven monographs, including A Journey from Yan'an: How the Communist Party of China Rose from Crises and Good Conduct in Yan'an: How the Communist Party of China Tempered Itself Through Revolution. His co-authored book Soul: The Power and Contemporary Value of Yan'an Spirit was selected as a nominee for the Book Prize of the Seventh China Excellent Publications Award."
